The Winters Police Department Canine Program has made some significant strides forward, thanks to donations from the public. Currently the program is focused on completing the new canine vehicle (obtained from the Stanislaus County Sheriff Office) which is being outfitted with emergency equipment. The next step includes purchasing the equipment needed to outfit and train the canine.
To assist with that goal, the Winters Canine Program invites everyone to participate in the Howl-O-Ween Family Fun Raffle. Tickets are one for $5 or three for $10. The raffle will be drawn on Oct. 25. You do not have to be present to win.
As a special fair promotion, for the rest of August, mention the Yolo County Fair when purchasing your tickets for the Howl-O-Ween Raffle and get an extra ticket absolutely free.
Tickets are available for purchase in person or by mail at the Winters Police Department (702 Main Street Winters, CA 95694, attention Canine Program); checks can be made out to the Winters PD Canine Program.
The raffle will have two winners. The first ticket holder drawn will have first pick of either “The Trick” or “The Treat” family prize pack. The remaining prize will go to the holder of the second ticket drawn.
