Ceramic pieces crafted by Winters High School students were up for auction, and were on display in the Winters Community Library Learning Garden on Saturday, April 16.
Denise Cottrell, of the Master Gardeners of Yolo County, said that Winters High School art teacher Kate Humphrey had asked students in her ceramic classes to create a piece of art that adds to the landscape and draws the eye around the Winters Community Library Teaching Garden.
As part of the Master Gardeners of Yolo County Plant Sale, WHS students had created 24 art pieces that were included in the Gardenscape Art Show and Auction. Cottrell said that 16 of the pieces were bid on and sold on Saturday. The art ranged from critters and insects to plants and unique imaginative creations.
