Library Assistant Jordan Garcia, Library Page Sofia Garibay and the big blue dog invite everyone to keep the Winters Community Library growing with a donation on the Big Day of Giving. BDOG is a 24-hour fundraising push for local nonprofit organizations, when residents chip in to help keep our community strong. This year BDOG is May 5, but early donations can be made now.
Winters Friends of the Library (WFoL) is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds to help the library grow its collections (more books on shelves and more online resources) and its programs, such as storytime, summer reading programs, ESL classes, children’s crafts and book clubs.
WFoL puts on popular community events — summer concerts at the gazebo, Family Holiday Festival, Winters Shakespeare Workshop summer theater camp for teens — and supports literacy with Little Free Libraries around town, free children’s books at Youth Day, and Books for Babies gift boxes. A donation to Winters Friends of the Library will help keep all these programs going strong.
Everyone in the community is invited to join Winters Friends of the Library at the Berryessa Gap tasting room at 15 Main St. to celebrate Big Day of Giving on Thursday, May 5 from 5:30–9 p.m. Supporters can stop by with a donation, give at the library, on donate online anytime before midnight on May 5 at https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/organization/wfol.
