Special to the Express
Capay Valley Vision is pleased to once again host the 20th Annual Taste of Capay, to be held at Taber Ranch Vineyard & Event Center (16628 County Road 81) in Capay.
Taste of Capay is one of Capay Valley’s favorite events and features a delectable, multi-course farm dinner, sourced from Capay Valley’s very own home-grown produce, meats and other products. All is prepared by the Full Belly Kitchen and guest Chefs. The delightful fare will include local wines & olive oils. There will be plenty of activities including music, silent auction and even a live auction during dinner.
Capay Valley Vision Board President Matthew Trask said, “Taste of Capay has become a tradition in Yolo County by bringing our community together every year to celebrate the end of the harvest season. What more could you ask for than spending a day in the countryside enjoying great local food made by local chefs, and a great lineup of entertainment.”
Proceeds will go towards a matching-funds grant for the building of the Career Technical Education Building at Esparto High School, which will include culinary, graphic arts and welding programs.
Much thanks to sponsors: Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation a 20th Anniversary Platinum level sponsor ($10,000 or more); Taber Ranch Vineyard & Event Center is a sponsor at the “Gold” level ($5,000 or more), Fully Belly Farm and Cobram Estate are sponsors at the “Silver” level ($2,500 or more), The Heitman Foundation, Chamberlain Farms and Farm Credit West are sponsors at the “Bronze” ($500 or more) level.
