Recently, the City of Winters experienced a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles and a stolen vehicle report. Each of these cases (6 in total) involved unlocked vehicles. Items taken included wallets and assorted cash; all appeared to be crimes of opportunity involving items left in plain sight.
