The Winters Friends of the Library wants you to “think fall” for beautiful spring color. Now is the time to plant and sow seeds for spring and summer blooms.

You will find what you need in one location at the Winters Friends of the Library Garden Open House and Native Plant Sale on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Winters Community Library parking lot.

Purchase California native plants from the non-profit Miridae Mobile Nursery. Buy a gardening book from the Winters Friends of the Library and take home a free children’s craft kit. Pick up your free packet of native wildflower seeds donated by Hedgerow Farms.

Stroll through the Winters Community Library Teaching Garden to view native plants and ask a Yolo County Master Gardener for gardening advice. It’s all in one location to think fall for spring.
