In November the Yolo County Master Gardeners will offer the following two free educational gardening events to the public. Due to COVID guidelines, some of the events are being hosted via the Zoom platform.

Zoom Workshop
On Thursday, Nov. 4 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. the Master Gardeners of Yolo County will offer a Zoom workshop on two topics: How to identify and eliminate invasive plants in your garden and How to create a wildlife friendly garden. Sign up to receive the Zoom link to attend the workshop, and to receive an invitation to attend future workshops, send an email to the Yolo County librarian at Joan.Tuss@yolocounty.org.

Kitchen Garden Chat continues
This month’s Kitchen Garden Chat, held both in person and on Zoom, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The class is designed to teach home gardeners how to have something in the garden to harvest and eat each month of the year. This month’s class will include information about how to grow microgreens and about tool sharpening. The in-person class will take place in the Leake Room at the Woodland Library, or it may be watched remotely via Zoom at https://ucanr.zoom.us/j/95676702285.
