The Winters Friends of the Library’s own Quiz Show is back. This year’s Quiz Show fundraiser is set for Friday, Feb.28 at 7 p.m. at the Winters Community Center. The funds go to support library programs and materials throughout the year.
The trivia consists of questions from a variety of categories from literature and poetry, to geography, to Winters trivia; with questions such as, what animals are known for ululating in the night? What cartoon character was known for saying, “Exit, stage left?” or which US President was the shortest?
Teams compete in answering questions in three separate rounds that get more difficult as the contest runs. The winning team earns a $200 prize and the team members’ names are included on the Quiz Show trophy kept at the library.
Teams of five may sign up for a cost of $100 at the library before Thursday, Feb. 27, or at the door on Feb. 28 for $125 per team. Teams may be formed by businesses or clubs in town, or groups of friends. Individuals that wish to be part of a team may sign up for $20 per person before Feb. 27 at the library or $25 at the door. These individuals will be formed into teams at the event. Forms are available at the library.
Anyone interested in trivia may come to watch, even if you don’t plan on participating in the game. There is a $5 donation asked at the door for all members of the audience. Snacks will be provided and wine will be available for purchase.

Note: Answers for the three questions are Wolves, Snagglepuss, and James Madison.
