The Winters Community Library invites all teens in sixth through 12th grade to join the Teen Library Council (TLC) to help give the library input and have a hand in creating programs for the community.

TLC participants can let their voice be heard — help create teen experiences catered to what their interests are at the library. The council will give its members an opportunity to develop leadership skills, enhance college and job applications and earn community service hours.

The council will meet once a month on the third Tuesday of every month from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Winters Community Library Teaching Garden. The first meeting is on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 3:30 pm. Join the group on Oct. 19 to find out more information on what the council is all about.

For more information, please call the library at 530-666-8005.

For more information about library programs and resources, visit any of the Yolo County Library branches or the library webpage at www.yolocountylibrary.org. Individuals can also connect with Yolo County Library on Facebook at www.facebook.com/yolocountylibrary.org.
