The Winters Senior Foundation’s (WSF) November general meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The location of our meeting will be the Police and Fire training room at 700 Main Street. The program will be centered on “Helping Make Sense of Medicare and Health Insurance” and will be presented by Carolyn Washington. Ms. Washington is with Health Information Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), a non-profit organization.  The second part of the program will include a presentation on Medicare Part D and will be presented by Liz Stevens. Both presenters will be available to assist with personal reviews of Medicare Part A, B and Medicare Part D plans.  Personal reviews of Medicare Part D insurance is also available by appointments at the Winters Service Center for the Yolo County Health & Human Services located at 111 Grant Avenue, on Wednesday, Nov. 7.  Call Claudia at 916-376-8915 to schedule a personal appointment.  The WSF is committed to Winters Seniors who wish to be actively engaged in activities and topics that interest and impact our senior community.  The WSF is a 501-C3 charitable organization that provides meaningful programs and socialization opportunities that benefit our older adults in Winters.
