The Winters Senior Foundation is seeking help from the community for their Santa Bags for Seniors program this year.
Most of the programs sponsored by the WSF have been sidelined as a result of the coronavirus. Nonetheless, they’re still here and still engaged in supporting our community.
The holidays are nearly upon us, and as in years past they plan to sponsor their annual Santa Bags for Seniors program. This program serves those less fortunate but warms the spirit in all of us.
The WSF gifting program supports seniors in Winters who are of low income and who do not live with other family members. They are looking to the community for thoughtful suggestions of the seniors in Winters who fit this criteria. If you would like to recommend a deserving recipient, send WSF an email at wintersseniorfoundation@gmail.com.
Each recipient will receive a supply of household essentials such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and personal grooming necessities. Using their best social distancing, and masking expertise, the WSF board and local community members will shop and distribute these much-needed items.
They are accepting monetary donations, which allows the WSF Santa Shoppers to purchase the balance of the needed items. The WSF is a 501c3 nonprofit; and contributions are tax deductible. Donations can be sent to: PO Box 392, Winter CA, 95694.
