Yolo Community Foundation (YCF) has announced that Yolo County’s Philanthropy Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Woodland Opera House, 340 Second St. in Woodland.

YCF invites Yolo County-based nonprofit organizations to take part in this event and recognize a donor or volunteer. Yolo County Philanthropy Day Celebration was created to bring attention to the impact and importance of local philanthropy and to the many nonprofits serving Yolo County. Nonprofit organizations may recognize one significant donor or volunteer who has given exceptionally this past year to their organization. The nonprofits will be responsible for submitting the following information to info@yolocf.org by Monday, Nov. 4:
  • A one paragraph overview of the organization’s mission and service.
  • The name of the award recipient and a brief description of his/her contribution.
  • The name, title, and contact information of the person who will present the award at the celebration.

In addition, each organization is responsible for creating whatever kind of award they would like to give (plaque, certificate, flowers, etc.). YCF will provide the venue, refreshments, program and PR for the event.

This year’s celebration is free to all nonprofits and attendees; organizations are asked to invite guests to attend the event and reception that follows but reservations are necessary to attend.  RSVP to info@yolocf.org by Friday, Nov. 8.
