Youth Day is officially on for April 30

Last week the Winters Youth Day committee officially announced the in-person return of the annual celebration for April 30.

The Youth Day event has been postponed since the last celebration occurred in 2019.

Committee members are looking for new volunteers to help take on specific planning projects, as well as volunteers to help with specific tasks for the day of.

Carol McMasters-Stone, committee treasurer, said some of the volunteer event planning needs include the Duck Derby, vendor coordinator, parade coordinator and a park entertainment coordinator.

The committee is also looking for a DJ for the event. McMasters-Stone said the DJ they generally used is not available on April 30.

The next Youth Day committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2 at 6 p.m.
