Due to an unprecedented increase in applications for Medi-Cal, CalFresh and CalWORKS, Yolo County residents may experience extended wait times and delays in processing benefits. Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) is processing applications in the order they are received; and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as they work diligently to serve Yolo County.
To avoid any preventable delays in processing your application, HHSA recommends submitting a completed application. Include:
- Completed application form(s) with as many questions answered as possible
- Signatures for all applicable form(s)
- Proof of Residency, Identification, Income and other applicable verifications
- Current contact information where you can be reached
Additionally, they ask clients to arrive on time for their appointment or call. Rescheduling missed appointments can add multiple weeks to the process.
Yolo County residents can apply by visiting www.mybenefitscalwin.org or GetCalFresh.org, and by calling HHSA at 1-833-744-HHSA (1-833-744-4472). Additionally, interested parties can apply in person Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at one of our following locations:
