The Lake Solano Docents invite people to beat the heat with a guided canoe tour (splashing optional) or other program. These volunteer guides have multiple events scheduled in July and August to engage and educate park visitors:
· Saturday, July 27, 8:15 –10:30 a.m.: Guided Canoe Tour
· Sunday, Aug. 25, 8:15-10:30 a.m.: Guided Canoe Tour
· Friday, Aug. 30 – Sunday, Sept. 1: Docent-in-Residence Weekend
All events are free and family-friendly. The Docent-in-Residence Weekend will feature a 7:30 p.m. campfire program on Friday, Aug. 30 and three tours on Saturday, Aug. 31: An 8:15 a.m. canoe tour, 9:30 a.m. nature and history walk and a 7:30 p.m. stargazing walk. The weekend will wrap up with the Roving Docents Cart roaming the campground and day use areas from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
