On Sunday, Nov. 15 long time Winters resident, Kimi Kato celebrated her 100th birthday. Kato and her late husband, Pete Kato (Winters High School class of 1939) farmed and raised their two children, Ken and Christine in Winters where she still resides. Family, friends and neighbors paid tribute to Kato in COVID style by walking by her garage to say hello and to wish her well. Kato was delighted by the show of love and good wishes and is very thankful for living a good life in Winters.
