The Winters Participation Gallery shared a photo on Saturday, Aug. 1 of the latest Winters history mural being painted on the side of the John Rogers Building. The photo featured an image of Newt Wallace sitting at his typewriter creating a piece for his Express column. The image also featured the news press and listed out all of the Express Publishers beginning with Edwin C. Rust (Publisher from 1884-1896), to Newt’s son Charley Wallace (Publisher from 1983-2018), and included current Publisher Taylor Buley.

The nonprofit is still collecting donations for their current fundraiser campaign throughout the month of August. Donations can be made online through the GoFundMe campaign at https://gf.me/u/x9iwn4. Direct donations to the Winters Mural Class Fund can be mailed in or made online at https://www.wintersparticipationgallery.org/donate.
