Their dogs are provided medical care, quality nutrition, training and socialization, prior to being carefully placed for adoption. Dogs are rescued from rural and under-sourced shelters that do not have adequate medical support, staff or facilities and few potential adopters coming to the shelter. Euthanasia rates at these shelters are extremely high (as much as 80 percent). Support 3R Rescue by donating to help dogs. Currently 3R is in the process of accepting dogs displaced by the Paradise fire. According to Linda Palagi Lynn, President of 3R, some of the shelters where they assist are killing 40-50 dogs every day. Many of these dogs are totally adoptable and are there through no fault of their own. 3R hopes that Giving Tuesday will enable them to raise funds to expand their programs and save more dogs. Giving Tuesday is also a great opportunity to raise awareness and find new 3R volunteers. Giving Tuesday is a volunteer global giving movement that has been built to harness the collective power individuals, organizations, businesses and communities across the globe, to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on Nov. 27, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and right after the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is designed to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
