The City of Winters added a running list of City Council candidates to the Elections page on its website.
On Nov. 8, during the general election, three of the five Winters City Council seats are up for election. Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old, and live and be registered to vote in Winters. Council terms are four years.
A quick link to the Candidate Information page is available at www.cityofwinters.org/elections.
The list of candidates who have pulled papers and are certified as registered voters within the City of Winters will periodically update with candidate’s names, up through the conclusion of the nomination period.
As of Tuesday, four candidates names were listed: Albert Vallecillo, Lisa Baker, Carol Scianna and Michael Olivas.
The candidate nomination period opens July 18. At that time candidates are eligible to schedule an appointment with the City Clerk to obtain campaign documents. Potential candidates are encouraged to contact the City Clerk for more information, as appointments are required to obtain campaign documents.
