Deadline for Teacher Grants coming up on Oct. 7

The California Retired Teachers Association is again awarding the first of 40 $100 Teacher Grants for Yolo County public school educators.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 7. The 30 second entry form is available on the CalRTA’s Website: and CalRTA’s Facebook Page:

The “No Strings Attached” checks will be mailed to recipients.

Members of CalRTA’s Yolo County Division 83 will award four more $100 grants just for Yolo County educators.

Bob Gonzalez, member of Yolo County Div. 83, said previously two Winters educators have been grant recipients.

Every year they also provide 30 colleges with $3,000 scholarship (total of $90,000) for graduate students who are pursuing more schooling.

By entering, educators will be eligible for the second round of teacher grants awarded in February.
