The Winters Lions Club and Vitalant are hosting a Winters community blood drive on Monday, Nov. 21 from 1-6 p.m. at the Winters Community Center (201 Railroad Ave., Winters).
Karen Benson-Neil, Lions Club board member, said this month’s blood drive donations are in memorial of the life of Winters resident Adam Davis who died from a form of blood cancer in 2016. Jacqueline, Davis’ wife said during his stay in the hospital, he was the recipient of many whole blood and platelet transfusions.
Benson-Neil said the November blood drive gives the community an opportunity to celebrate Davis and honor his memory and give back through a blood donation.
