What: “Sharing Yolo’s Bounty” Thanksgiving Holiday Food Distribution for Yolo County residents

Who: Yolo Food Bank (via 10 locations)

When: Saturday, Nov. 23, 8 a.m. at Yolo Food Bank (satellite distributions will occur Nov. 20-23, 2019).

One in five Yolo County residents cannot afford Thanksgiving dinner. Yolo Food Bank works with partners each year to ensure that all families in need receive the food needed to prepare and share in the tradition of a holiday meal.

Thanks to the dedication of lead sponsor Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, and the support of many individuals and businesses for the “Sharing Yolo’s Bounty” initiative (ongoing at thanksgiving.yolofoodbank.org), 2,000 meal kits will be available at distribution locations in the days prior to Thanksgiving.

Each meal kit will include a turkey, an assortment of fresh seasonal produce and other classic Thanksgiving “fixings” to offer sustenance and comfort to at this season of generosity and gratitude.

To be eligible for a meal kit, individuals must be a resident of Yolo County; where required, pre-register for a meal kit in area residence (otherwise, meal kits are available while supplies last); and provide proof of address — this may include a driver license, state I.D. card, or a bill or mail sent to a Yolo County address.
