Diana Jiménez will serve as the new superintendent for Merced City School District. The MCSD Board of Education approved her hire at their board meeting on Tuesday, May 24.
Winters Joint Unified School District Board President Carrie Green confirmed the Trustees have a goal to secure an interim leader before Jiménez’s last day on June 23.
Winters JUSD is holding a Special School Board Meeting on Thursday, May 26 starting at 5 p.m. to accept the superintendent’s resignation and to form an Ad Hoc Advisory Committee to begin identifying an interim leader and the process to search for a new superintendent.
