The City of Winters is now accepting applications for Lifeguard, Supervising Lifeguard, Swim Team Coach, After School Program Aides and Substitute Instructional Aide.
Winters After School Program The City of Winters After School Program is currently looking for Part-time Instructional Aides and Substitute Instructional Aides. Applicants must be able to work between the hours of 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The salary for these positions is $13 per hour with no benefits.
The ideal candidate is responsible, energetic, organized, self-motivated and a multi-tasker who can watch a class of students while assisting one or more students with homework or preparing the next activity. The Instructional Aid is single handedly in charge of 15-25 students for 3-5 hours a day, keeping them safe, on task and having fun.
Minimum qualifications include the equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade and pass the District’s proficiency test in English. Upon selection, a tuberculosis test and fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice background check) will be required prior to employment.

Lifeguard, Supervising Lifeguard Lifeguards will be responsible for the supervision of pool patrons, maintaining order and enforcing established rules and safety procedures; participate in ongoing training and lifesaving programs; perform First Aid and CPR techniques, and water rescue and safety procedures; instruct and interact with aquatics program participants of all ages, including instruction of swim lessons; perform facility and equipment set-up, take down, and general housekeeping; the opening and closing of the facilities; maintain a positive attitude in dealing with the public; perform other duties as assigned; and work under the immediate supervision of the Supervising Guard(s).
Supervising Guards will be responsible for all of the duties listed above, and will include assistance in the scheduling of lifeguards and work under the immediate supervision of the Records
Clerk/Records & Information Manager. Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15 years of age; Supervising Guards must be at least 18 years of age and possess a minimum of two years experience in the Lifeguard position.

Winters Swim Team Coach The City of Winters is currently hiring for Winters Swim Team Coach for the 2020 swim season. This is a part time, temporary position with no benefits. The hourly wage range for this position is $13.00-$20.00 per hour. As the Winters Swim Team Coach, you will be required to perform a variety of duties related to planning, organizing and directing all activities of the Winters Swim Team, including instructing swimmers on water confidence, helping improve swimming technique and develop areas of swim advancement.
All applicants must be 18 years of age and must have a current Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate of Completion (Title 22 is recommended.) Position open until filled. Upon selection, candidates will be required to have fingerprint clearance and TB test.
