That for which they yearned—the slosh of water in the ear canal, the sting of inhaled chlorine, the pinch of the too-tight goggles—has returned at the city pool.

Lap swim is back at the Bobbie Greenwood Swim Center.

Lap swim is limited to an hour long session, once per day, and swimmers must pre-register for their time slot and pay online.

Restrooms will be closed, thus, swimmers must arrive suit ready. The new procedures for the lap swim are available online at

Anticipated lap swim times are Monday through Friday from 2:45 p.m.-8:45 p.m. with lane reservations at 2:45 p.m. for ages 12-15.

For ages 16 and up swim times are 4 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

Lap swimming times on Saturday will be from 9 a.m until 1:45 p.m. with lane reservations at 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m for ages 16 and older.

Three Step Online Registration
Un-registered swimmers will not be permitted inside of the pool area. In order to pre-register for Lap Swim follow the three-step instructions provided:

  1. Visit and look for the “Sign Up” button on the right hand aide of the webpage.
  2. Fill out the Lap Swim Waiver. There is an e-sign button available on the same page and labeled as “2 of 3” below the Sign Up portion. The Lap Swim Waiver must be filled out for each session, and is also available online at
  3. Make a payment of $7.50 for each session to finalize the process.

Recreation swimming and lessons will not be held at the pool this summer.
