Meals on Wheels seeks volunteers

Meals on Wheels Yolo County serves fresh hot meals each weekday at the Winters Community Center on Railroad Avenue. Seniors, over 60 years old, can come and have a meal at no charge.

The program also takes meals directly to the homes of about 15 homebound seniors, and is in need of a person, or couple, to deliver those meals on Fridays.

Volunteers leave the Community Center around 10:45 a.m. to drive the route, which takes less than an hour.

Volunteers are also needed to serve the lunch to about 10-15 seniors. Anyone interested in volunteering for either of these activities can call Meals on Wheels Yolo County’s main office, 530-662-7035, extension 204, and ask for Cindy.
