The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance (YHAA) is bringing free meals to Winters older adults on Wednesday.

The YHAA new Mobile Meal Program will provide free meals to older adults age 60 and older at two local locations on Dec. 15. In addition, recipients will also be gifted an additional take-home meal.

The Healthy Aging Food Truck will be in Winters on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from:

  • 11–11:45 a.m.: Blue Mountain Terrace, 147 E. Baker St.
  • 12–1 p.m. Winters Senior Apartments, 400 Morgan St.

Sheila A. Allen, YHAA Executive Director, said that meals cost $10 each to provide and they are accepting donations at the event (cash, check and credit card) to support the program.

Although an RSVP is not required to receive a meal, Allen said it would help them to ensure they have prepared enough food for everyone if older adults would RSVP to the YHAA main line at 530-757-5583.

The Winters Healthcare Foundation will also be onsite at the distribution to give COVID vaccinations and boosters. Those who would like to receive a booster should bring their vaccination card and Identification card.
