Drivers will not be able to turn right at the end of the ramp from southbound I-5 April 23 through May 31. The eastbound direction of Garden Highway will remain open. The suggested detours are:

  • Continue southbound on I-5 and exit at Richards Boulevard (Exit 520), turn left and left again to reenter northbound I-5.
  • Continue northbound (stay in right lane) to Garden Highway (Exit 521A for eastbound access).
  • For westbound Garden Highway, continue northbound I-5 to West El Camino Avenue (Exit 521B), turn left onto West El Camino to southbound Gateway Oaks Drive.
Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3. For real-time traffic, click on Caltrans’ QuickMap]]>
