The Porchfest Winters organizing committee invites neighbors to the annual front-porch concert event on Sept. 18 from 12 – 6 p.m., adjacent to First Street and Main in Downtown Winters.

Porchfest Winters – in its first year post-pandemic and third year overall enlivening the middle of town – is a live music stroll that brings together community members as hosts to area musicians and bands from all walks of life. This year’s event is scheduled to feature food trucks and music-friendly activities at City Park in addition to the usual array of diverse musical opportunities. The event is family- and pet-friendly.

“As a community we’ve had the toughest summer of our lives,” says event founder Sarah Madsen, the Winters-based musician who brought the event to Winters after performing at Porchfest Napa. “What better way to foster community healing like a family friendly, free afternoon of live music and food.”

Porchfest Winters opened its submission window for bands/musicians, porch hosts, street team volunteers and food truck vendors. Interested parties can submit their interest via the event’s online submission form at porchfestwinters.com/volunteer3.html.

The committee welcomes contributed gifts and sponsorships. Would-be sponsors can contact porchfestwinters@gmail.com for more information, including commemorative t-shirt opportunities.
