The program manager for renovation projects funded through Measures R, D & P updated the Winters Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees on current projects and outlined possible future projects at the board meeting June 20.
Fitzpatrick proposed a number of options at the high school to be funded with Measure D bond money. The first option was an 800-square-foot, $3.5 million multi-purpose room which would provide a weight room, wrestling gym, additional physical education classroom and space for the choir.
Another option would be an area with picnic tables and corn hole or bocce ball courts, where students could hang out. An area like this could also serve as a place holder for a new auditorium when funding allows.
