Winters Friends of the Library (WFoL) is looking for a talented Social Media Manager to join the nonprofit organization’s communications team. The team helps keep WFoL members informed and continuously seeks new and effective ways to engage the community through press releases, newsletters, flyers, social media, and the web.
Looking for a fun way to meet people and contribute to the Winters community? Then volunteering as WFoL’s Social Media Manager may be just what you’re looking for!
“I love being part of an organization working to bring our community together,” says WFoL communications chair Ameryn Briggs.
WFOL webmaster Lisa Nalbone affirms, “Being part of WFoL’s communications team is a great way to deepen your connections. I’ve learned so many new skills and have made strong, lasting friendships working with the team.”
Cassie Carter, who joined the team last fall, enjoys sharing her User Experience (UX) and marketing skills as a volunteer, adding, “I love the new sense of connection I’ve felt to the Winters community since volunteering with WFoL.”
Briggs, Nalbone and Carter are very excited to welcome a social media expert to the team. The Social Media Manager will create original content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, etc. The position also entails the management and growth of WFoL’s online identity, running social media advertising campaigns, and using analytics to better understand WFoL’s audiences and improve social media content. The role requires approximately 2-4 hours weekly, including weekly meetings and optional monthly board meetings. For full details, please visit wfol.org/volunteer.
