Winters is in the news after being linked to a fatal boat fire

You may have heard Winters mentioned in connection to the fatal boat fire that took place over Labor Day weekend. The connection has to do with the address associated with Worldwide Diving Adventures, the company that chartered the boat.

Winters has been mentioned in news reports in connection to a fatal boat fire that took place off the California coast early on the morning of Monday, Sept. 2.

The boat was chartered by a company called Worldwide Diving Adventures, which lists a Winters residence as their mailing address. The property is owned by someone who shares the last name of one of the owners of the company, Kristy Finstead.

The cause of the fire was still unknown as of press time on Tuesday. Of the 39 people onboard at the time of the fire, only five have been found alive. Finstead was among the 14 people still missing on Tuesday morning.
