Winters JUSD hosting special meeting July 12

On Monday, Winters Joint Unified School District Acting Superintendent Phoebe Girimonte announced that Trustees would hold a special school board meeting on July 12.

Trustees will receive a presentation from McPherson & Jacobson LLC, the search firm selected by the Winters JUSD trustee Ad Hoc Committee, a five-phase protocol for the selection of a new Superintendent. The special meeting on Tuesday, July 12 will initiate the beginning phase one of the search.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Trustees will receive a presentation from McPherson representatives and begin a discussion of search criteria, engagement efforts, and the selection timeline. Girimonte encourages members of the school community are encouraged to attend.

The Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of conducting an inclusive and thorough Superintendent search process. In partnership with the firm McPherson and Jacobson LLC, they will seek staff and community feedback in developing selection criteria aligned to locally defined priorities and values. These criteria will inform the screening, interview, and selection process,” Girimonte said.
