Individuals interested in becoming U.S. citizens can now find resources at the new “U.S. Citizenship Corner,” conveniently located inside seven Yolo County Library branches.
The U.S. Citizenship Corner provides free information and resources on obtaining citizenship for individuals to take home, including a U.S. Citizenship Kit that card holders can check out. Many library branches also offer free conversation classes for individuals to practice speaking English.
“One of the missions of the Yolo County Library is to assist community members with their personal goals and aspirations,” says West Yolo Library Regional Manager, Scott Love. “Our new U.S. Citizenship Corners, along with existing library resources, provide them with the information and tools to help reach their citizenship and naturalization goals.”
The Yolo County Library supports learning and growth by providing opportunities and resources in a welcoming and enriching environment. This service is made possible through a collaboration with the Sacramento Office (District 22) of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Citizenship forms and related information may also be downloaded from the library’s website: www.yolocountylibrary.org.
