Yolobus Lowers Bus Fares in Several Categories

  • For local routes in Woodland (#210-214) and in West Sacramento (#35, 39, 40, 41, 240, 241) the regular cash fare has been lowered from $2.25 to $2.00 regular and $1.00 for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities with valid IDs.
  • For Yolobus route 220 traveling locally within the City of Winters or to and from El Rio Villa Housing, the fare is now FREE. (The intercity fare of $2.25 regular and $1.00 for seniors, the disabled and youth still applies for those traveling to other locations.
  • The basic transfer fee between local and intercity buses has been lowered from 50 cents regular to just 25 cents. Seniors, disabled and youth will continue to pay a 25 cent transfer fee between buses. Note that this transfer is not valid between Yolobus and RT; rather, it is only valid between Yolobus buses.
  • The most significant change is that $46.75 Yolobus monthly pass for youth ages 6-18 has been lowered by over 57%, to only $20. This matches the $20 student fee that Sacramento Regional Transit District has also established. RT monthly passes are valid on Yolobus; however, Yolobus monthly passes are not valid on RT. For youth wanting a Yolobus monthly pass, a pIcture will be taken.   • Yolobus provides what is known as the “Y Shuttle” for Woodland, Davis and West Sacramento residents wishing to attend events at the Golden One Center. The Y shuttle is activated for events anticipated to draw 10,000 attendees or more. The shuttle cash fare for Woodland and Davis has been reduced from $3.25 regular per one way ride and $1.60 per one-way ride for seniors, disabled and youth to just $1.50 regular and 75 cents for the discounted rate. A group round trip pass for up to 4 riders has been lowered from $14 to just $7. Additionally, now Yolobus will accept any valid Yolobus or RT monthly pass, Los Rios, Sacramento State RT pass and UCD undergrad photo ID for rides on the Y shuttle.
  • The basic fare on intercity routes 42A, 42B, 215, 220, 216 and 217 will be $2.25 adult, $1.00 youth, disabled and seniors.
