Viridiana Reyes, a junior at Winters High School, is the Pisani’s Athlete of the Week. A speed demon on the track and field team, Reyes has proven herself a leader amongst her fellow Warriors — and on the score sheets. “Viridinia (made personal records) in the 100 and 200-meter races, and took first in the 100,” said head coach Chris Kays. Reyes participated as the third leg in the 4×100 (which the Warriors placed second), and placed in the top five in the 400-meters race. Kays praised Reyes’ performance at the March 30 meet at Yuba College. “She is a very committed athlete who trains hard at every practice. Having athletes like her make you a very proud coach,” Kays said.
