Girls soccer: Warriors Add 2 Wins

The Winters High School girls Soccer team hosted Hamilton High School on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and traveled to Durham on Thursday, Dec. 13. Both were Sacramento Valley league games. The Varsity Warriors played well and dominated the field in both games and came out with two wins. In the home game against Hamilton the Warriors dominated the offensive side of the ball. The Warriors ended the game with a win, 5-0. The goals were made by Corinne Mckenna, Mallory Layne, Elina Perez and Molly Moore. Moore also received the player of the game from Coach Kim Olivas. The team traveled to Durham and played in a non-conference game. The Warriors had great control over the ball throughout the game, which was indicated by the score and number of corner kicks. The Warriors had a total of eight corner kicks in the game. Stephanie Angel received the player of the game from Coach Olivas. The game resulted in a win with a score of 6-0. “Stephanie scored a goal from a corner with her head,” said Coach Olivas. There will be one game next week for the girls soccer team. The next game will be on Tuesday, Dec. 18, when the Warriors will host Willows High School.  ]]>
