Warriors play well, but JV softball game ends in loss

The Winters High School junior varsity team had two games scheduled this last week, but only played one. On Monday the Warriors were scheduled to travel to Sutter High School for an away non-conference doubleheader. It was postponed due to lack of transportation. On Wednesday the Warriors traveled to East Nicolaus for an away non-conference game. the Warriors played a great game in Wednesday’s non-conference game against the East Nicolaus Spartans. At the bottom of the second inning the Warriors took the lead by one run. In the top of the third the Spartans answered the Warriors with five runs. In the bottom of the same inning the Warriors tied the game. In the fourth inning the Spartans cinched up the game with an 11 run rally, which caused a deficit that the Warriors could not make up. The final score was 18-11 to the Spartans. ]]>
