In their first league game of the 2018 season, the Winters High School JV volleyball team lost to the Willows Honkers two games to none. Winters traveled to Willows on Tuesday, Sept. 18, and came home with a 2-0 loss after putting up a very good fight in the end. Winters lost the first game 25-11 but battled to a 25-22 loss in game two. “We had better focus and performance in set two and were ahead for awhile before surrendering,” said coach Angela Stone. “Both sets had quite a bit of back and forth rally play. This match I was pleased with the improvement in our team serving with which we have previously struggled. We served for 32 points, including nine aces with only a single missed serve,” Stone explained. ]]>
