The Winters High School volleyball team’s difficult — and injury plagued — season continues as the squad dropped two games last week.

Last Tuesday, Oct. 4, the Warriors traveled to the land of Honkers known as Willows. Unfortunately, the opposition pecked a victory out of the Warrior squad, winning the match in three straight sets, 25-9, 25-9 and 25-3.

The Warriors’ woes followed them home a few days later on Thursday, Oct. 6. They squared off against the Live Oak Lions who’d claw another loss onto the Warrior record.

“I need my girls healthy,” said head coach Mari Chavez. “I miss one to two girls at practices and it’s hard to catch up when we are learning new defenses.”
