Soccer
On Tuesday, Feb. 28, the Winters High School varsity soccer teams went their separate ways to compete in the Norcal CIF Soccer Regionals. The women’s team made its way into San Francisco, while the men’s team had a much shorter excursion to Davis.
Both teams played competitive games but ultimately lost, ending their chances of advancing further in the tournament.
The women’s soccer team lost their away game against Lowell High School (San Francisco) by a score of 5–1, while the men’s soccer team lost their away game against Thurgood Marshall Academic High School (San Francisco) by a score of 2–1.
While both teams put in their best effort to go all the way in the Norcal CIF Soccer Regionals they accomplished much throughout the season, and remain the winners of their respective Section Championship games.
