Warriors Defeat Honkers 8-0

The Winters High School girls soccer team hosted Willows High School in a Sacramento Valley league game on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The Varsity Warriors dominated the field this week and came out with a winning score of 8-0. In the home game against Willows, the Warriors dominated the offensive side of the ball and received 10 corner kicks. The goals were made by Karla Reyes, Katie Rotenkolber, Mallory Layne, Elina Perez, Vivian Del Toro, Molly Moore and Vickie Banuelos, who had two goals. Banuelos also received the Maxpreps.com player of the game from Coach Kim Olivas. “After working hard through our first eight games, Vickie found the back of the net twice in the win against Willows,” stated Olivas. There will be a break from games for the holidays. On Tuesday, Jan. 8 the Warriors will travel to Pierce High School in Arbuckle, and on Wednesday, Jan. 9 they will travel to Williams High School.
