Winters Jr Warriors cheer
The Winters Jr Warriors cheer squads will “bring it” at the upcoming JAMZ Capitol City Championship on Sunday, Nov. 13 at The Roebbelen Center (700 Event Center Dr.) in Roseville. Squads will compete to qualify for a spot at the 2023 JAMZ Youth Nationals. Performances begin at 11:30 a.m. For details, check www.jamz.com.

Winters AYSO
Multiple Winters AYSO soccer teams are heading to Davis for the Area Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 19. Teams will compete for the opportunity to advance to the Section Tournament in Foster City, Calif. in December. Tournament details will be shared with players and on the AYSO Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wintersayso.

The Winters AYSO Board is working to transition from the previous Select Soccer program to AYSO Alliance, which is a competitive soccer program. The Alliance structure has the potential to become a local competitive year-round soccer program. Players in 10u–14u can register now for the Alliance program at www.wintersayso.org.

Alissa Clark, Winters AYSO Regional Commissioner, said the Winters AYSO board is looking for community members and alumni players to train as certified referees for Alliance games played in Winters, as well as for volunteers to help out in numerous roles. Interested individuals should contact Winters AYSO by messaging through the Facebook Page or by email at wintersayso@gmail.com.

Winters Little League
Registration to participate in the Winters Little League (WLL) 2023 tee ball, softball and baseball programs is now open. This year’s registration is running through a new platform at https://leagues.bluesombrero.com/wintersllca.

Children born from September 2018 through Aug. 31, 2009 are eligible to participate.

Registration timeframe runs from now through Dec. 31 for $135 a player. Late registration will see a price increase to $145 and runs from Jan 1–15, 2023.

WLL baseball and softball evaluations are scheduled to take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. Times are expected to be posted by Jan. 15.
