Artemio (Art) Lopez passed away at home in Woodland, surrounded by his family, on Dec. 10, 2016. Born on Nov. 5, 1945, he was 71.

He and his wife, Blanca Portales Rodriguez, had three children that were all raised in Winters: Fidel Lopez, Luis Lopez (Dolores), and Laura Perez (John).

In addition to his son, Luis Lopez, and daughter, Laura Perez, he is survived by his grandchildren, Luis G Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Elias Lopez, Francisco Dominic Angulo, Joseph Santillan, Desiree Santillan, Marianne Rodriguez, Teresa (Gabi) Rodriguez. Great grandchildren: Mia Lopez, Enaveha Lopez, Tehya Lopez, Amiya Santillan, Henessy Angulo. Mother: Maria Concepcion Cepeda; great-grandson Issac Lopez; siblings, Maria Garcia (Leonel) Guillermina Vines (Richard) Ramiro Lopez (Laura) Concepcion De Luna Jaquez (Juan); numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his son Fidel Lopez, brother Ramiro Lopez, Uncle Jessie Trevino, and in-laws Maximillano and Concepcion Rodriguez. Art was a member of E. Clampus Vitus chapters 169, 1849, 5 and 90.

He loved to garden, work on cars and spend time with his friends and family. He was also known as the Professor by his Clamper brothers. He will be dearly missed by all.
