Barry Steven Colagrossi of Winters went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 25, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. Barry was born on Jan. 19, 1961 in Castro Valley, where he lived until his family moved to Greenville in 1977.

He graduated from Greenville High School in 1979 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after. He proudly served as a Seabee until 1985. After his military service Barry worked in the construction industry where he was able to put his many skills and MacGyver tactics to use.

Barry loved the outdoors and working on projects around the house. He was happiest when he was spending time with family and friends.

Barry is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Megan and Courtney, son-in-law Vince, granddaughter Thaleia, mother Cynthia, brothers Scott and Craig, sisters Charlotte and Paula, long time family friends Todd, Judy, Lindsey and Tyler Berg, and many other family and friends who will miss his big hugs and generous heart.

He was preceded in death by his father John.

Interment Services will be at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Life following at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall 1305 N. 1st St. Dixon.
