David F. Rodriguez, Jr., age 51, passed away on Friday May 31 at Santa Rosa Memorial hospital while surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 26, 1968 in Davis to Joan and David Rodriguez, Sr. Dave was a lifelong Winters resident and worked in the landscape and concrete industry for years. Dave spent many years volunteering as a coach for youth sports in our community. Dave was happiest when spending time with his sons while golfing, hunting, fishing and watching sports. Dave is survived by his sons Derek Rodriguez of Chico and Mason Rodriguez of Winters, his father David Rodriguez, Sr. of Winters and siblings Dennis Kruse (Pascaline) of Old Saybrook, CT, Sherrie Barnett (Dan) of Madison, Bunny Woods (Ron) of Dixon, Lynda Drew (Rick) of Yuba City, Larry Hayes (Anita) of Marysville, Dawn Hayes of Travelers Rest, SC, Blair Jewkes of Cedar City, UT and Tacy Rodriguez of Missouri, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that he loved dearly. Dave is preceded in death by his mother Joan Rodriguez. A celebration of life is planned for Saturday June 29 from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. at the Winters Community Center.
