Obituary: Don Donaldson

Don Donaldson passed away peacefully at his home in Winters on March 17, 2022 with his wife by his side. Don moved to Winters at the age of 10 when his father took a job building the Monticello Dam.

He graduated from Winters High School and married his wife Susan (Cullivan) Donaldson in 1964. They had two children Dawn and Dennis. He worked for Elmer Bruhn and Son Pump company for years until he took a position at Woodland Memorial Hospital in the Engineering department. He worked his way up and was the lead HVAC Engineer at the time of his retirement in 2009.

He loved fishing, motorcycle riding and camping with friends and family. His favorite places were the sierras and Stoney Ford. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening too, he always had a project he was working on.

He is survived in death by his wife Susan of 58 years, daughter Dawn of Winters and son Dennis of Illinois.
Five granddaughters: Hannah Joiner of Travis AFB, Olivia De Anda of Dixon, Lilly Manas of Colorado, Mollie Donaldson, and Meghan Donaldson both of Tomales and three great grandchildren.
