Karl Thomas Chulick died peacefully and unexpectedly in San Jose, California on November 2, at the age of 77. Karl is survived by his wife Julie Clark Chulick, daughter Kristine Loeper, son-in-law Volker Loeper, grandson Tobias Loeper and Granddaughter Grace Loeper. Karl was born on January 13, 1942 in Woodland, California to John and Lucretia Chulick. After graduating from Winters High School in 1959, he attended Sacramento City College, San Jose State and Santa Clara University. He married Julie Rae Clark on November 30, 1968 and relocated to San Jose, where he worked as an electrical engineer for several companies. He retired from Lockheed Martin in June of 2008. He was known to many as the “fixer of all things,” master craftsman, and the one who had a story for all occasions. He enjoyed hobbies of all kinds from hunting, fishing, model airplane building and flying, to metal detecting, gold mining and tinkering in the garage. A graveside service is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 at the Winters Cemetery, with a reception to follow. There will also be a Memorial Service on Friday, November 15 at 12 p.m. at the Valley Church of the Nazarene located at 635 Calero Ave. in San Jose, with a reception to follow.
