Rudy George passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 17, at the Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. His loving wife Carol and stepdaughter Tiana were at his side. He was born on Feb. 14, 1931 in San Francisco. In his youth he was a ballboy for the San Francisco Seals baseball team. He attended Winters High School for his senior year and was a standout pitcher for the Winters High School baseball team. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, and was stationed on two aircraft carriers. He attended U.C. Davis and also worked in their engineering department. He was a local farmer and grew walnuts, nectarines and peaches, and consequently he established the Peach Farm Roadside Market in 1971. In addition to this, he also sold real estate in Winters for Brinley’s and Ireland’s Real Estate. He was an avid Giants and 49’s fan, and was known for his collection of tropical birds. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Mercedez George, his brother Raymond and his sister Geraldine. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carol, and his first wife of 31 years, Irene. He is also survived by his sons Tom and Ed; his grandchildren Megan, Ryan, Barrett and Mariah; his stepson Sean (Marlana) and stepdaughter Tiana (Ben); his stepgrandchildren Caleb, Madison and Elijah and brothers Eph, Bill and David.]]>
