Donald (Don) Lee Jordan, 82, of Winters, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023.
Don was born in Donnelly, Minn. on March 6, 1940 to Philip and Lucile Jordan.
Don and his family moved to Winters in 1963. Don enjoyed a long and loving marriage to Shirley. They were married on Aug. 8, 1959 in Richmond, Calif. and were blessed with four children, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Don retired from Don Jordan Insurance Agency and continued farming until his passing.
Don was an active member of the Yolo County Farm Bureau, Yolo Front Loaders Association, Safari Club International, National Rifle Association, and the Woodland Elks. Don and Shirley have been committed to helping the local youth and senior organizations. Don had a life-long love for the outdoors. He was a dedicated farmer, an avid hunter, and a fisherman.
Don is survived by his wife, Shirley, children, Katrina (Michael Hechtman), Don (Diane Jordan), Tamlyn, and Thomas as well as his mother, Lucile and sisters, Lyndel and Margaret (Greg Dineen).
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 1 p.m. at The Hotel Winters. Dress for a Spring celebration. Please RSVP to Jessica at 530-304-8647 by March 31, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Palm Foundation to support local youth or the Winters Christian Ministerial Association to support local senior citizens. Donations can be made at First Northern Bank in Winters.
